4 years of research
for an innovative device
There are numerous light therapy devices on the market. Often taking the form of a lamp or a light “panel”, we find them in all sizes and their characteristics (intensity, light spectrum) strongly vary from one model to the next. But the analysis is simple: these light therapy lamps are not very practical to use and often end up in the attic.
Wanting to create a device which offers an improved “compliance” , the researchers Robert Poirrier, Yvon Renotte and Vincent Moreau combined their knowledge in sleep medicine and physical optics with the aim of creating a practical and innovative light therapy device. The Luminette came to light in 2006 after 4 yeras of research at the Liège University (Belgium).
